The whole idea of making Duaa is to put your full trust in Allah SWT, for He Knows what you don't know, therefore you have to praise and thank Him in any case: whether your duaa is fulfilled or not. [i.e. if your duaa is not fulfilled, then Allah SWT Has avoided you a great deal of harm!... it really takes a level of faith to hold this belief with certainty]
